After named Medical Apparatus and Instruments Export Base by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, Wujin MAIB (Medical Apparatus and Instruments Base) was identified as a national demonstration base of foreign trade transformation and upgrading on January 14.
With decades of development, Wujin MAIB has formed six major scopes, consisting of high polymer materials, implants for surgery, surgical instruments, hygienic materials, rehabilitation equipment and diagnostic reagent. Currently, there are 170 medical apparatus and instruments production enterprises and 132 operating companies, which sell products to more than 30 countries and regions like USA and EU.
Based on the statistics, medical apparatus and instruments enterprises in Wujin involved in the process of setting 8 national or industrial standards, such as the National Medical Infusion Apparatus Standard, General Requirements for the Safety of Rehabilitation and Training Apparatus, etc. By now, these enterprises have obtained over 380 patent licenses.
