On February 3, it was learned from Changzhou Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology that in 2016, 513 companies each paid tax of over 10 million yuan, 201 more than the number of 2015. Among them, 142 industrial enterprises each paid tax of over 30 million yuan, 12 more than the number of 2015. The VAT deduction for the purchase of fixed assets amounted to 4.05 billion yuan, an increase of 17%, ranking first in Jiangsu.
The VAT deduction for the purchase of fixed assets is an important indicator of an area’s effective input of industry. Over the past two years, Changzhou’s municipal and district finance authorities have allocated subsidies of 1.298 billion yuan, which greatly stimulated enterprises’ enthusiasm of investment.
Next, Changzhou Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, the Municipal Bureau of Finance and other related authorities will figure out how to support industrial transformation financially in the new situation, continue to encourage enterprises to increase investment in technology and lead industrial development toward the high end.
