Twenty-six companies from Changzhou were featured on Jiangsu's "Top 200 Private Enterprises for 2024" list, unveiled at the Jiangsu Private Enterprises Summit in Yangzhou on November 1.
The rankings, released by the Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce, showed a rise in the entry threshold, with a revenue minimum of 7.724 billion yuan, up 154 million yuan from last year. The "Top 200" and "Top 100 Private Manufacturing Enterprises" lists were based on annual revenue, while the "Top 100 Private R&D Investors" recognized companies for their research and development investments.
Zenith Steel Group led the Changzhou contingent on the "Top 200" list, joined by 25 other firms. In manufacturing, 12 Changzhou enterprises, including solar leader Trina Solar, stood out for their contributions to the industry. Additionally, 11 companies, such as Jiangsu Shangshang Cable Group, earned recognition for their R&D investments on the Top 100 R&D Investors list.
Changzhou's strong presence across these three categories ranks third in Jiangsu, highlighting the city's dynamic private sector and innovation-driven growth. Zenith Steel, maintaining its leadership among Changzhou companies for several consecutive years, exemplifies the city's focus on high-quality development and its commitment to fostering sustainable and strategic business practices.
