On the afternoon of June 29, Du Jibin, director of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, attended the U.S. Independence Day celebration event hosted by the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai.
During the event, Hanscom Smith, U.S. Consul General in Shanghai, Max Baucus, U.S. Ambassador in China, and Fred Upton, Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the U.S. House of Representatives, delivered speeches respectively.
Du Jibin had friendly exchanges with several officials of the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai and briefed the situation of China-U.S. cooperation in Changzhou. In addition, Du met with Amikam Levy, Israeli Consul General in Shanghai, Peter Rothen, German Consul General in Shanghai, Thabo Thage, South African Consul General in Shanghai, Saidkamol Agzamhodjaev, Uzbekistan Consul General in Shanghai, and Kenneth Jarrett, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
