The 2019 West Taihu (Spring) International Auto Show was closed on May 4. According to the incomplete statistics of the organizing committee, nearly 100,000 visitors came to the show and more than 4,000 vehicles were sold within 5 days.
At this year's auto show, pure electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles attracted widespread attention, especially the new BMW 530Le plug-in hybrid, the new Cayenne E-Hybrid and the new Toyota Hybrid System II.
Many people decided to buy Nissan, Lexus, GAC Toyota, Guangqi Honda and other Japanese cars considering fuel consumption, maintenance costs and other factors. Sales of Cadillac, BMW and other US or Germany-based auto brands as well as China-based Harvard, Geely and Roewe also increased over last year.
The BJEV EC220 and EX360 cars produced in Changzhou became popular models for many visitors.
