On the morning of June 16, the thirteenth annual meeting of the Committee for Surgical Implants of Chinese Association of Medical Device Industry was held in Wujin. Hundreds of medical experts and business representatives attended the conference and conducted in-depth discussion on the academic research, regulatory registration, clinical supervision and development of the industry. Vice Mayor Shi Zhijun attended the event.
The Committee for Surgical Implants of Chinese Association of Medical Device Industry was established in Beijing in 2004, mainly engaged in research and development, production, management, product testing, intermediary services, and education and training regarding orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurosurgery and active implants as well as the related equipment. It currently has more than 200 members, taking 90% of the domestic medical device market share.
In recent years, Wujin’s West Taihu Lake International Medical Industrial Park has attracted more than 90 well-known domestic and foreign suppliers such as Sinopharm Group, Daan Genes, Forefront Medical Technology, etc. The park has been selected into the first batch of international medical device innovation parks by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
