On September 29th, Changzhou held reception to mark the 67th anniversary of the founding of the People 's Republic of China. Party Secretary Yan Li, Mayor Fei Gaoyun, Municipal CPPCC Chairman Zou Hongguo, Municipal People's Congress Deputy Director Yu Zhiping, Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang and Secretary-General Li Lin attended the reception. The participants include the "honorary citizens of Changzhou” over the years, the representatives of foreign-invested enterprises and educational institutes in Changzhou from 23 countries and regions, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots, and overseas Chinese entrepreneurs.
Fei Gaoyun said in his speech that Changzhou as a key city located in China's most economically developed Yangtze River Delta and an important window of reform and opening up, each step of Changzhou’s development process reflects the great changes in China day after day. At present, Changzhou is taking the initiative to adapt to the new normal, and will pay close attention to the introduction of major projects and industrial transformation and upgrading, in order to build a New Changzhou that boasts strong economy, affluent people, beautiful environment and high social civility.
