On March 8, the Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, in collaboration with the Changzhou Women’s Federation, hosted a special event to mark International Women’s Day. The event spotlighted the integration of housing security and women’s rights protection, unveiling the 2025 Talent Apartment Plan for Women’s Programs.
The plan includes 32 diverse initiatives aimed at skill development, networking, and fostering women’s connections, such as the “Tulip Night Light” and “Her-Era Digital Creativity Camp.” These programs are designed to cultivate a talent-friendly ecosystem, providing comprehensive services and support for young women. By doing so, the city aims to attract and empower more female professionals to settle, thrive, and contribute to Changzhou’s development.
The Changzhou Women’s Federation introduced a range of tailored job opportunities for mothers seeking to re-enter the workforce. Available positions include roles in childcare, early childhood education, e-commerce customer service, the traditional art of Chan Hua (Thread-Wrapped Flowers), housekeeping services, and the “Blue Angel” program, which offers in-home support for vulnerable groups such as the elderly and disabled. Additionally, the Changzhou Association of Women Entrepreneurs pledged to fulfill the “micro-wishes” of 30 disadvantaged families, demonstrating a collective commitment to community support.
The event also featured interactive service booths, including a Women’s and Children’s Health Station, a Legal Consultation Desk for Women’s Rights, and a Smart Family Education Workshop. These services were warmly received by attendees, offering valuable resources and guidance to women in various aspects of their lives.
Through these initiatives, Changzhou continues to champion women’s empowerment, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for women to thrive both personally and professionally.
