Recently, the carbon fiber and composite materials industry of Changzhou National High-Tech District (CND) and the electric vehicle (EV) battery industry of Jiangsu Liyang High-Tech District have been classified among the first batch of provincial-level innovative industrial clusters by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology (JST).
The CND, with its positioning as the Oriental Carbon Valley, is home to many leading enterprises in the advanced carbon materials industry, including Sinofibers Technology Co., Ltd., Pgtex China Co., Ltd., and Newtry Tangu Holding Co., Ltd.
Their products are widely applied in military, defense, aerospace, wind power, and many other industries.
The Liyang High-Tech District pursues cluster development of high-end industries. It is home to research, development, and production facilities of EV industry leaders, including Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), SAIC Motor Corp., Ltd., Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Institute of Physics at Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Their products include positive and negative electrode materials, battery separators, structural parts, wiring harnesses, battery cells, battery packs, and other core products of the industrial chain.
