On January 23rd, Changzhou held the 2016 Job Fair for College Graduates in the human resources market. A total of 331 companies and institutions attended the event, providing approximately 6,700 jobs, more than 80% of which are posts for fresh college graduates.
The participating employers are mainly involved in the city’s 10 major industries, including equipment manufacturing, electronic information, biological medicine, new energy and new materials, retail trade, etc. 97 equipment manufacturing enterprises and 68 electronic information companies attended the fair, accounting for nearly 50% of exhibitors, providing more than 40% of the total number of job positions.
The top 10 most in-demand majors are machinery manufacturing, electronic information and computer science, marketing, architectural engineering, new energy and new materials, management, petroleum chemical, biological medicine, textile and clothing, and language, literature and media.
136 master’s degree owners, 2,728 bachelor’s degree holders and 3,510 associate degree owners attended the fair. The most in-demand graduates are bachelor’s or associate degree owners. Besides, employers prefer those with certain skills and expertise, which matches up with the demand of the city's equipment manufacturing and modern service industries.
The job fair also provided 541 internship posts.
