It is learned from Changzhou Disabled Persons’ Federation (CZDPF) that in the 9th Jiangsu Provincial Games for the Disabled, Changzhou athletes bagged a total of 32 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 13 bronze medals, breaking nine records of the provincial games for the disabled. The Changzhou delegation is ranked the fourth in overall performance and the fifth in the number of gold medals.
The Changzhou delegation is composed of 85 members, including 63 athletes. Among them, the twins Lu Wenkai and Lu Wenxuan from Jintan pocketed the silver medals in three programs, each breaking a provincial record; Zhou Yue and Chen Yan from Liyang each broke a provincial record; and Chen Yan, Chen Guojun from Jintan, Tao Zhenjun from Liyang, Chen Xin from Xinbei each wins three gold medals.
Compared with the previous sessions of provincial games for the disabled, the Changzhou delegation claimed four more gold medals this year and is ranked one place higher in overall performance. In addition, the Changzhou delegation and its 22 athletes won the Sportsmanship Award.
