On the afternoon of August 11th, Party Secretary Yan Li received the Taiwan delegation led by the Chang Chien-rong, the former council speaker of Yilan County.
In the meeting, Yan said Taiwan has a very mature management and service system, particularly in the sectors of health care, education and finance, while Changzhou enjoys the advantage in space technology, rail transit, talents production and market potential. As the direct flights and individual visits between Changzhou and Taiwan have become more frequent, both sides shall enhance exchanges and cooperation in order to promote mutual prosperity.
Chang highly evaluated the rapid development in the Chinese mainland over the past decade, and hopes to learn more about Changzhou to make joint efforts for a harmonious cross-strait relationship and win-win results.
