The 10th Changzhou Iris Festival opened on May 1 at Weidun Relics Park under the poetic theme "Iris Whispers, Just for You." Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a fragrant early summer oasis, where over 110,000 irises flourish across 2,600 square meters—the largest dedicated iris garden in the city.
Among the 65 showcased varieties, standout species like Red Velvet Elvis, White Lover, and Giant Blue Iris are now in full bloom, creating stunning displays along the waterfront and amid towering bald cypress groves.
Running through May 25, this year’s festival expands beyond floral appreciation with hands-on experiences. Guests can explore a floral-themed street market, join flower arrangement workshops, enjoy mini outdoor concerts, design custom postcards, or try their hand at plaster painting and mosaic vase DIY activities. These curated events blend natural beauty with cultural engagement, offering visitors both relaxation and creative inspiration.
