Font:〖L M S

In an effort to promote the integrated development of culture and tourism along the Grand Canal, in May this year, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism held an event to select 100 landmark tourist spots along the Grand Canal.

The final result has been released. Ten tourist spots in Changzhou, including Spring and Autumn Yancheng Tourist Area and Qingguoxiang Historic Conservation Area, are selected. The items on the list cover tourist areas, streets, museums, villages and towns. The number of spots selected in Changzhou ranks third in the province.

The Grand Canal, or known as Jing–Hang Grand Canal, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the longest canal in the world, linking the Yellow River and Yangtze River. The oldest parts of the canal date back to the 5th century BC, but the various sections were first connected during the Sui dynasty (581–618 AD).
