Recently, it was learned from Changzhou Road Administration Bureau that the feasibility study report of the extension project of the Liyang section of Provincial Highway 341 has been approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
The Liyang section of Provincial Highway 341 starts from the junction of Liyang and Yixing, and connects to the Yixing section of Provincial Highway 341. It crosses Provincial Highway 239 and Changzhou-Liyang Expressway in the west, and intersects with National Highway 233 in the south of Changdang Lake. It goes across the Danyang-Jintan-Liyang canal, runs through Bieqiao Town and crosses Yangzhou-Liyang Expressway. It goes through Zhuze Town and intersects with Nanjing-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, National Highway 104 and Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway. It runs across Shangxing Town and ends in the junction of Liyang and Lishui District, Nanjing, connecting to the Nanjing section of Provincial Highway 341. The total length is about 40 km.
The section has four lanes and will be constructed according to standard of first-class highway construction, with the estimated investment of 2.017 billion yuan.
The project will play a key role in improving the travel conditions in northern Liyang, optimizing the collection and distribution system of integrated transportation hub, and promoting economic and social development along the highway.
