On the afternoon of September 20th, 2012 China Changzhou Int'l Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation was grandly opened in Changzhou Olympic Sports Center Xincheng Stadium.
The former secretary general of the National People’s Congress, He Chunlin, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, Shi Heping, and Party Secretary of Changzhou, Yan Li, and Changzhou Mayor, Yao Xiaodong attended the opening ceremony. The participators exceeded 1200 people, including the businessmen from more than 30 countries and regions, Changzhou government officials, representatives of foreign-invested enterprises in Changzhou, private entrepreneurs, etc.
The forum takes "industrial cooperation • mutually beneficial and win-win result" as the theme and actively seizes major opportunity for the development of new industries. It emphasizes that Changzhou should greatly develop the strategic emerging industry, advanced manufacturing, modern service industry, and enhance the industrial competitiveness and international reputation of the city.
