After six months’ preparations, the construction of Changzhou Practice Base for Juveniles has been commenced before Spring Festival with a total input of 80 million yuan.
Located in the northwest of Huashan National Defense Education and Training Center (Xuebu Town, Jintan), the practice base is at the provincial level with an investment of 80 million yuan and is designed to build complex buildings and dormitories，covering a planned area of 125,000 square meters and a gross floor area of 22,000 square meters.
The base is scheduled to be built by the end of 2016, with a ‘five-color education’ theme consisting of red (the Chinese Communist Revolution), green (ecology), blue (outward bound), gold (culture and art) and white (salt culture），which is an integrated system of the education for nationl defense, life, science and technology, capability improvement and laboring skills. The base is built with outdoor practice area, indoor practice area and surrounding interactive area, which is able to hold 1,000 juveniles at the same time.
