Recently, Xinbei District and Stavropolskiy Kray Industrial Zone in Russia signed The Agreement on Establishing Friendship-City Relationship between Xinbei District, Changzhou, China and Stavropolskiy Kray Industrial Zone, Russia, which marks that Xinbei District and Stavropolskiy Kray Industrial Zone are officially twinned as friendship cities.
Stavropolskiy Kray Industrial Zone is located in the central area of Caucasus. It is the largest one of the four industrial zones in Stavropolskiy Kray, focusing on natural gas, oil production, and chemical and mining machinery manufacturing. In 2011, Monocrystal Co., Ltd., headquartered in the zone, set up a branch Monocrystal-PV Technology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. in Xinbei District, Changzhou, with a total investment of 20 million U.S. dollars, mainly producing photovoltaic electrode paste for Trina Solar.
The establishment of friendship-city relationship with Stavropolskiy Kray Industrial Zone plays a significant role in the development of Xinbei District’s economy, culture and social progress through international exchanges and cooperation. Going forward, Xinbei District will promote the exchanges and cooperation with Stavropolskiy Kray Industrial Zone in economy and trade, technology, culture, education, health care, talents, and so on for a deeper friendship and a win-win future.
