On July 1, Changzhou TV Library—the first TV library in Jiangsu province opened at channel 701. From then on, over 400,000 digital TV subscribers in the urban areas will be able to receive documentation and information service of Changzhou Library on TV for free.
Currently, Changzhou Library’s collection has a total volume of 1.3 million, plus more than 2 million volumes of e-books, 3,000 kinds of electronic journals and 1,000 sorts of scholarly periodicals. The library received more than 1 million readers every year and procured over 50,000 paper books and above 2,000 types of newspapers annually. Changzhou TV Library, as another new initiative of the policy of “culture beneficial for citizens,” makes use of existing television networks and the rich resources of Changzhou Library, such as digital books, newspapers, lectures and multimedia classrooms, so as provide every family with real-time library services.
For first-time users, you just have to re-search channels, enter the channel number 701, and then you will enter the home page of Changzhou TV Library.
