Five cutting-edge projects from Jiangsu province, including a standout contribution from Changzhou, have been selected for the 2024 Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Solutions Open Competition Mechanism. This prestigious initiative, jointly launched by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), chose 83 projects nationwide after rigorous regional recommendations, expert reviews, and public consultation.
The selected Jiangsu projects represent key sectors such as automotive and auto parts, construction machinery, electronic devices, and printing. They focus on advanced application scenarios, including flexible production line configuration, human-robot collaboration, dynamic process optimization, online intelligent inspection, intelligent product maintenance, and intelligent production scheduling.
Changzhou’s contribution stands out with a transparent material defect detection solution based on photoelectric technology, developed by Changzhou WIMI Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Jiangsu Changjiang Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd. This innovative project reflects Changzhou's leadership in driving high-tech advancements in intelligent manufacturing.

Suzhou Han’s Laser Technology Co., Ltd.: High-speed automotive wiring harness solution.
Suzhou Huagong Automation Technology Co., Ltd.: Smart integrated production line solution for new energy battery system covers.
XCMG HanYun Technology Co., Ltd.: Remote intelligent maintenance solution for complex equipment.
H3C Industrial Internet Co., Ltd.: Intelligent production scheduling system solution based on an industrial operating system.
Looking to the future, the MIIT plans to launch an open competition mechanism for future industry innovation in 2025. Key areas of focus include biomanufacturing, quantum industries, embodied intelligence, and atomic-level manufacturing. The initiative will also promote service-oriented manufacturing, enhance industrial design standards, and drive the growth of emerging industrial models.
With its continued innovation and strong industrial foundation, Changzhou is cementing its position as a leader in the intelligent manufacturing landscape.
