On November 25th, the delivery ceremony of Electric Locomotive SDD6 produced by CSR Qishuyan Locomotive Co., Ltd. to be exported to Zimbabwe was held with the presence of Zimbabwe Ambassador and Counselor.
These locomotives will be used for passenger and cargo traction of the National Railways of Zimbabwe. The Locomotive SDD6 adopts 1,067 mm narrow gauge design, AC and DC transmission system and computer control system, with calibration power of 1,640 kW and maximum use of speed at 100 km / h, and has functions like anti-wind, anti-corrosion and high temperature. After the success of exporting to Cambodia, Venezuela, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Guinea and so on, CSR Qishuyan Locomotive developed another new export objective in Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, this is the second time the company entered the African market, marking its new breakthroughs of market development in Africa.
