On the afternoon of February 20th, Mr. Zou Hongguo, Deputy Secretary of Changzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC, met with the consuls general of the consulates of 19 countries, including Israel, Sweden, India, Germany, Canada, South Africa, etc., in Shanghai.
Zou extended best wishes of the Chinese Lunar Year of the Dragon to the participating consuls general and briefly introduced Changzhou's economic and social development. Zou said Changzhou hopes very much to enhance cooperation with other countries in the fields of technology, economy, culture and so on, looks forward to the visits of all the consuls general and expects to achieve common development of economic entities through more communication and cooperation with the wide influence of Shanghai as an international metropolitan.
Consul General of Israeli Consulate Mr. Jackie Yaacon Eldan and Consul General of German Consulate Mr. Wolfgang Roehr stated that Changzhou has good economic and social development and favorable geographic location, and the people of Changzhou have good manners and strictly follow the traffic rules. In addition, the transparency and efficiency of government activities are very high, which play a positive role in attracting investment and talents. They look forward to further cooperation between both sides and to achieve greater progress and achievements.
