The First Sino-Foreign Invitational Square Dance Tournament, sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, Changzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Square Dance Branch of Changzhou Association of Dancers, was held at the RSun Plaza from January 19-20.
The event is one of the fourth “Culture Enlightens Life” program. The tournament attracted nearly 200 Chinese and foreign square dance enthusiasts from Russia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other countries. The competitors performed modern dances, folk dances, street dances and so on, and were judged by the panel of professional dance experts.
Chi Yinhe, vice chairman of Changzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Sha Tan, chairman of Changzhou Music Association and secretary general of Changzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Min Jianmin, chairman of Changzhou Association of Dancers, attended the event.
